Distance Learning:  week 4  Wednesday, April 8                       Holy Week

Please begin your class time with a prayer for your classmate while holding your cross.

Take your Lent calendar.  Read the good actions.  Color in the spaces for any good things you have done this Lent.  
There is a Holy Week Prayer on p. 348-349 in your Religion book.  This is a good prayer for your family to pray together before Easter.

Religion: Today we will look at the readings for Easter.  Easter is the day we sing the Glory to God during Mass.  We also sing Alleluia again.  The first reading in the Easter Season is always from the Acts of the Apostles.  This book is in the New Testament.  It follows the Gospel of John.  Acts, chapter 10, verses 34, 37-43.  Peter proclaims the good works Jesus had done when he was with them.  He tells us we are all called into action to continue Jesus' mission.  The second reading is from St. Paul's letter to the Colossians chapter 3, verses 1-4.  Paul tells us the promise of resurrection is for us, too!  There are 2 Gospel choices for Easter, one from John and one from Luke.  Let us look at Luke's Gospel.  You can read it in your Religion book, p. 350.  Can you feel the excitement when the women discover Jesus is alive?  There is an excellent Easter prayer for you and your family on the top of p. 351.

ELA:  Today, please write about your Easter readings.  Do the writing in your NB.  Those of you who have sent a print of your note books have done a good job understanding this week.  Also, please complete p. 282 in your purple book.  You will be reading about an autobiography.  This is the life story of the person who is doing the writing.

Math:  We continue Lesson 6-7.  Please work on p. 343.  Write the quotients in the boxes and find the path.  Remember, you can find the quotients using your times tables.  Page 344 is a vocabulary review.  The answers to # 1-8 are in the word list.   You must explain the steps as well as find the area of the rectangle in # 9.  Please continue your online work as well. Thank you.

Science:  Were you able to watch Mystery Science live show yesterday?  I hope you enjoyed it.  If you have anything at home to try to make shapes, try it and send me a picture of your creation.  Remember, this is only if you have something in your house.  No one should go shopping!
