Meet Mrs. Casazza
Hi! I'm Mrs. Kathleen Casazza, one of the Pre-K teachers at Holy Name of Mary School.  I am looking forward to a great year with your little one!
I joined the Holy Name of Mary family after finishing my undergraduate degree at Cabrini College in Radnor Pennsylvania.  I taught first grade for six years and then left for a few years to be home with my children, Eddie and Tara.  I returned to Holy Name after finishing my Masters at Adelphi University.   I have taught Pre-K, Kindergarten, and First grade.  After many years in first grade, I returned to Pre-K last year.  I am very excited about working with your little one.  I have spent a great deal of time getting ready for this upcoming year.  I just know we are going to have a wonderful time together.  Little children are such enthusiastic learners.  It is such a pleasure to be a part of their journey.
My teaching style is a hands-on approach where students learn through group work, play, centers, and a great deal of positive reinforcement.  It is important for children to feel good about themselves and not be afraid to try new things or make mistakes.  (Only God is perfect, we all make mistakes!!)
I believe our journey this year will be positive and successful if we all work together.  It is so important to have a strong home and school connection.  It is my goal to instill a love of learning and have your child's experience this year be positive and successful.
My family is very important to me. This past June I was blessed with a beautiful grandson.   In addition to our new baby, Teddy,  my children and all my nieces and nephews, my golden retriever Maddie brings a great deal of joy to my life.   I love to share stories about my life and hope the children enjoy sharing as well.

I truly love teaching.  I knew I wanted to be a teacher from the time I was a little girl.   These little learners are so excited  and enthusiastic.  I am looking forward to being a part of their journey.  This is going to be a wonderful year.  I know together we will truly make this Pre-K experience a wonderful one!
